What is the best eco-friendly way to dispose of cooking oil?

I usually leave the pan out side till it solidifies then i leave it out there till local critters eat it.... They need it to build up their fat and fur to survive the winter...What is the best eco-friendly way to dispose of cooking oil?
cooking oil isn't bad for the environment. lard on the other hand can stop your drains up. animals love oil and fats, so leave it out for them to eat it helps with their coats and fat layers. What is the best eco-friendly way to dispose of cooking oil?
if it was just oil, i would make biodeisel out of it.
You can donate it to someone who uses biofuel in their vehicle. Our public bus uses it and there are many people who have converted their cars to use it. You could try posting an ad in the free section of craigslist and I'm sure you would get some takers.
