Cleaning up cooking oil spill?

My 4 year old managed to pour about 3 cups of cooking oil out on the hardwood floor in the playroom. I've mopped and mopped and it's still slippery. Any tips?Cleaning up cooking oil spill?
Get some SALT, BAKING SODA, or anything absorbent. Let it soak it up for a bit. Then sweep or wipe up the mess, do it TOWARD the center of the spill to avoid spreading leftover oil and making an even bigger spot. THEN, get you some GREASE LIGHTNING. You can get it at walmart. This should take it right off! I use it like CRAZY for greasy, oily messes. Also, dish washing liquid with extra strength grease fighting power will work, you just may have to do it a few times!Cleaning up cooking oil spill?
Wet mopping won't really help you on this because the water in the mop will not only repel the oil it can damage your hardwood.

I'd go after it with dry absorbent cloths, just keep rubbing it and changing your cloths.
I would throw baking soda, salt, cat litter, sand or even flour over the area. Once it has soaked up all it can, you can just scoop it up with a spatula and then wipe the area down as usual. Any of these methods will work without spreading the mess everywhere.
I wonder if vinegar might help to cut it down. I don't know how that would work on the wood itself. Maybe if you go to Home Depot or Lowe's, someone might be able to help you, or point you in the direction of some kind of solvent that wouldn't be harmful to your floor.
Blot it first with paper towels or newspaper or something to absorb the extra oil. After that, use full strength dish washing liquid, preferably Dawn. Absorb that (you can use a mop this time) and then gradually use water until the dish washing liquid is gone.
pour some baking soda or salt on and sweep it around- those are pretty absorbent and should get a good amount up.
I'm just guessing here, but nothing cuts grease better than alcohol..maybe a little rubbing alcohol in the mop water?
cat litter...baby powder....baking soda...anything that will absorb the oil....if these dont do it..try using degreaser in small areas...as it is hardwood flooring..
