Anyone know if you're supposed to dispose of used cooking oil a certain way?

I've been getting into recycling alot lately and was wondering what the proper way is, if there is one. I used to pour it into an empty tin can and just throw it in the trash. Any ideas?Anyone know if you're supposed to dispose of used cooking oil a certain way?
Used cooking oil can be composted with other organic matter. If you have a compost heap or a healthy backyard earthworm population, feed them kitchen scraps.Anyone know if you're supposed to dispose of used cooking oil a certain way?
Go to your local fast food restaurant. Chances are they have a container for used fry oil near the trash can.
they can also make diesel fuel out of cooking oil...recycle it somewhere
there are people who collect used cooking oil. u might wanna find a company in ur area that does that. they make soap with it.
There are lots of ways. The way I dispose of it is to find weeds in the yard that you want gone. Poor your used oil over this weed and it will not grow again. The oil smothers the weed.

I have a weedless yard.
