For oatmeal cookies, yes, you can. Use 1/2 cup melted butter, not hot, just warmCan i use butter instead of cooking oil?
I don't know, but I much rather the butter..........Oatmeal cookies.......sounds good
Depends on what you are cooking...if you are baking no...probably not..if you are using it on the stove..yes..can substitute butter for shortening when baking though.
Depends on what you are cooking. You can use butter, but butter will burn, rater quickly, causing your food to have a burnt look and burnt tase. Oil does nt do this. If you use butter, be sure to watch your food carefully to ensure the butter does not begin to scortch your food.
You can substitute melted butter for cooking oil with no problem in a cookie recipe (just melt it slowly to avoid scorching, or use the microwave).

Butter will make a thick, crumbly cookie, while oil will make a thin, chewy cookie. (If you've ever had shortbread, you know what a butter cookie is like).

if you use salted butter make sure to reduce the salt in the recipe by a pinch.
Yes, luckly you can

use only a cup of butter

fyi, butter is more fatty then oil

and oil is more heailther and is needed in your diet

:D
I think yes but use melted butter
Yes, you can use melted butter just make sure you don't burn it, that ruins the taste.
Yes but ghee might be better..
What exactly are you making?

Most times they are not interchangeable but tell us what you have.
i use butter for everything.it gives every thing a better taste.use the amount but you will have to turn the heat down if cooking on the stove.
