Does anyone know how to remove cooking oil from bath towels?

my huband spilt the oil from our deep fryer and then cleaned it up with a bath towel, he then thought he could hide the evidence and washed it along with all the other towels, now my towels smell bad and have a heavy oily feel to them, someone please help me to rid them of both smell and feel.i would really appreciate it.Does anyone know how to remove cooking oil from bath towels?
rub some dawn dish liquid on the stains before washing then wash normally.Does anyone know how to remove cooking oil from bath towels?
Maybe try soaking it in nappy soaker overnight with hot water. Rinse them then without adding any softener put a little wash powder or liquid and a little wool wash, which has eucalyptus in it which I find helps. If that doesn't work tell hubby to buy you a set of new towels. My hubby does the same thought of thing and with 5 kids they often grab the first thing they see and use that for wiping up or mopping us spills. Good luck. :)
hot soapy water with a handful of baking soda or table salt. basically liquid fabric softener is ';oil';- so repeated washings should take care of it and- no fabric softener!
