Cooking Oil Stain Removal from Clothing
The most effective way to remove grease stains from laundry is to treat the stain with a dishwashing detergent that is formulated to remove grease. Rub it into the stain, let sit for a few minutes, then wash as usual. Waterless mechanic´s soap (from an auto-parts store) is also very effective at cutting grease. Grease is very effective at removing grease, so you could also rub Crisco into the stain, then launder. How do i get cooking oil stains out of clothes?
Try soaking them in white vinegar.
I use the spray and wash stain stick, I leave it on for an hour or so and then wash, sometimes it takes a couple tries, but it always works for me.
Good luck.
i use spray %26amp; wash stain stick. it gets EVERYTING out. even oil-had it happen more than once. put it on, let it sit a day or 2 then wash. good to go.
Soak the whole item in garlic sauce, before washing it again. It won't remove the stain, but it will even it up. Seriously though that oxy wotsit stain stuff might work.
Try spay n wash. The next time this happens put straight (No water ) dish washing liquid on the spot as soon as it happens. I use this for most food related spots that i get on my clothes. Works most of the time..... I always, check the stain or spot before i put the clothes in the dryer
All good answers. For medium tough oil stains I use a combo of spray n wash to wet the fabric and then I rub Fels Naptha soap into the sprayed spots and scrub the stained spot against itself. I respray and re soap the stain and let it sit for a few minutes then toss in the wash.
Fels Naptha Soap comes in big yellow bricks for just about nothing, has been around forever and my mother in law gave me a bar of it 17 years ago. I just bought my second bar this year. It's heavy duty stuff, I have never seen it fail on any kind of oil.
Good luck!
Get a spray called ';Grease Lightning';. You can find it at most Wal-marts in the house cleaning products. It's not for clothes but I have used it several times on many different fabrics and many different stains and grease spots and never had a problem. Let it sit for about 10 to 15 minutes before you wash it again. I started using it when I realized that most of the spot removers for clothes don't work well.
Any one of these will work:
Baking Soad, sprinkle on the grease, and scrub gently with a wet brush, wash.
Soda, pour a can of pepsi into the washer and wash the clothes as usual.
Spray with Formula 409, wash as usual.
Wash with a cup of White Vinegar.
*** Rub Lestoil into spots that have been in clothing for a while and wash. For your situation this will probably work the best!! ***
Dawn dishwashing liquid - take a little and cover the stain, let it sit for about a half hour, and then wash.
Last, but not least, Pine-Sol can take most oil and grease stains out of clothes.
Well I always use Baking Powder. when ever I get oil on my clothes from cooking I just add 1 tablespoon of baking powder to a small drop of warm water and leave for 10, min´s . Then on a 40Âșc wash . It always comes out
put a piece of ink blotting paper under the garment and another on top. using a warm iron ,iron OVER the blotting paper, this should absorb and lift the stain then rewash
hope this helps
Use Spray N' Wash stain stick.
